Employee Qualifications

TruPro contractors are committed to providing the highest quality workforce possible. Because of this commitment, the TruPro electricians complete a rigorous apprenticeship program with both school hours and on-the-job training components.

TruPro Apprentices are paid for their on-the-job training and their day-school hours on a progressive schedule according to their tenure in the program. They are also paid pension and health insurance benefits from the date of entering the contract. The program is fully funded by the TruPro contractors who hire these apprentices.

The apprenticeship program is divided into three distinct classifications. All apprentices work under the supervision of a fully trained journeyman, wireman, or technician. A Joint Apprenticeship Committee carefully monitors their progress throughout the process.

Inside Construction Electricians install electrical fixtures, and electrical wire systems to provide heat, light, power, air conditioning, and refrigeration in homes, office buildings, factories, hospitals and schools. They install conduit, Greenfield and other materials and connect electrical machinery, equipment and controls. The Inside Construction Journeyman Apprenticeship program is a five-year program with not less than 8,000 paid on the job training hours and 720 hours of paid schooling, as well as additional unpaid night school classes.

Residential Wiremen work with blueprints and code to install and maintain electrical circuits and wiring systems for residential buildings, either single family dwellings or small apartment and condo projects. The Residential Electrical Apprenticeship program is a three-year program of not less than 4800 paid on-the-job hours and 432 hours of paid schooling, as well as additional unpaid night school classes.

Voice-Data-Video (Low Voltage) Installer/Technicians install both copper and fiber optic cables and work on local area network (LAN) systems, communications and sound equipment systems, security systems and phone systems. The VDV Apprenticeship program is a three-year program of not less than 4800 paid on-the-job hours, 432 hours of paid schooling and additional unpaid night school classes.
